Happy Eid ul-Fitr!

Eid ul-Fitr, literally "the festival of the breaking of the fast", marks the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, during which observant Muslims are generally expected to fast from sunrise until sunset.

A joyful holiday, Eid ul-Fitr is marked not only by special prayers, sermons, and alms-giving but also celebrations that involve visiting family and friends, feasting, and the giving of gifts. In addition, many other local traditions are followed in different parts of the Islamic World.
