Happy Rosh Hashanah!

Sunset today marks the beginning of the Jewish New Year's celebration of Rosh Hashanah. Apart from various religious observances such as special prayers and the blowing of the shofar, a trumpet made from the horn of a ram or similar animal, it is also customary to eat certain symbolic foods during this holiday. Perhaps the most well-known of these foods consists of apples dipped in honey which are meant to signify a sweet year ahead.

So this is wishing everyone a great new year...Shana Tova!
