More Unseasonal Flowers

I took a walk yesterday and even though the weather has been getting markedly colder the past couple of days I still came across quite a few flowers. Many were chrysanthemums, asters, and other flowers one would expect to find at this time of year. There were also quite a few, however, that appear to be a bit out of sync with the seasons. I found a few more rhododendrons of different species and varieties that were partially in bloom, as well as another bearded iris (Iris germanica) and a flowering quince (Chaenomeles speciosa).

Rhododendron praecox

Rhododendron variety

Bearded iris (Iris germanica)

Double salmon flowering quince (Chaenomeles speciosa)

Some late roses (Rosa 'Radtko')

This odd re-blooming of Rhododendrons appears to be widespread this year, so I guess it might have something to do with weather conditions...
