All the Colors!

All the different colors in the freesia mix I planted have begun to bloom now, so I thought I would do a little compilation.

They were labeled as single freesias but some came out partially double anyway. Interestingly, flower size varies greatly between the different colors, with the pure white ones being significantly larger than the other colors and the yellow ones being rather diminutive.

    1. Yes, the fragrance is lovely, though its intensity seems to again vary from color to color.

  2. I love freesias and yours are such pretty colors especially the last one. I think I must try for them in pots again as the freeze this year just zapped them when just about to bloom.

    1. That is too bad. Hopefully the ones that got zapped this year will come back next year though?

    1. It is my second attempt though! Now that I have a cool an very bright sunroom I was able to keep them going long enough to actually get to blooming. However, they are still very gangly creatures, and I lost a few shoots to some mystery disease, so they still seem like rather precarious treasures.
