Delhi Days

The summer heat is really starting to set in but so far Delhi' spring blooms have still been holding on, so I thought I would post a few pictures taken around town this week.

Bougainvilleas before the Sheesh Gumbad at Lodi Gardens

Blazing color

A lovely multicolored dahlia

A weeping bottlebrush (Callistemon viminalis) in bloom

Fantastic petunias

An ashoka (Saraca asoca) in bloom

 A doubly variegated bougainvillea variety

A semal or silk cotton tree (Bombax ceiba) blooming against blue skies

Flower beds by the side of the road

Pomegranate blossoms

 Sunny Tabebuia blossoms

With the scorching summer weather much of this will disappear but other trees should come into bloom.
